Our roots are in family and community. Growing up in rural Bucyrus, Ohio, we shared our lives with many pets of all kinds—from dogs and cats to smaller and more unconventional companions. Through those relationships, and through personal experiences with loss, we came to understand how deeply pets shape our lives and how important a meaningful goodbye can be.

With close connections to both human and pet memorial services, we recognized the need for a more thoughtful, compassionate approach to pet farewells. Paws for Life was created to provide families with professional guidance, clear communication, and a memorial experience that feels personal and respectful—not rushed or transactional.

The challenges of recent years, including the impact of Covid-19, further reinforced what matters most: honoring life, supporting one another, and creating space for remembrance.
