Our Purpose
Our mission is simple: to support families through one of the hardest moments of loving a pet. We do this by creating thoughtful memorial experiences that bring comfort, provide closure, and preserve cherished memories. Paws for Life exists to offer more than a service. We exist to hold space for grief, reflection, and remembrance—so families never feel rushed, unseen, or alone during a farewell.
Why We Do This Work
Our journey began with family, community, and a lifetime of loving animals. Raised in rural Bucyrus, Ohio, we grew up alongside pets of all kinds—from dogs and cats to animals that felt almost imaginary in their uniqueness. Those early bonds taught us how deeply pets shape our lives and our sense of home. Through personal experiences with loss—both human and animal—we came to understand how meaningful it is to have a proper goodbye. The challenges of recent years, including the impact of Covid-19, deepened that understanding and reinforced what truly matters: connection, compassion, and honoring life with intention.
